2016, shot off Islamorada, very rough but Sunny. A few on the boat got seasick. Was a very long fight and after we saw her at the surface we realized why it was a long fight. It was very large Swordfish. There was a free swimmer that followed her up (A free swimmer is a Swordfish that is not hooked). It was her mate and I was not able to get into the water until the free swimmer was gone. The free swimmer would have surely attacked and tried to kill me. They are not happy campers, especially when you are trying to catch its mate. I was very nervous when I got into the water and was constantly looking around, always wondering if that free swimmer would return.
